SCHOOL VISITS
The Maritime Trust of Australia encourages and welcomes school tours of the ship, either as a stand-alone excursion or to complement broader historical studies. To assist teachers in working a visit to HMAS Castlemaine into their curriculum we have our standard Lesson Plan available for download.
Teachers may also download an Activity Workbook and Wordfind Activity. Answer sheets are only available to teaching staff in person, or can sent to education department email addresses, to prevent students from having access to answers pre-visit.
Teachers are advised to take note of the 'Gangway' section (Pg.1) of the Lesson Plan - Notes, as it covers a number of
OHS/Duty of Care considerations.
