Ship's Museum (click for larger images)

A miniature model of HMAS Castlemaine is now on display in the museum, buit from a model kit by Black Cat Models (France). Castlemaine volunteers helped out in the production by providing drawings, photographs and advice. Black Cat Models presented us with a free kit, and our thanks go to Simon Marchington for putting it together. Black Cat Models were impressed with the construction and proud to have it displayed onboard its namesake ship, and say this is the first completed model they know of. The detail is extraordinary, the bridge even has the magnetic compass binnacle, steering wheel and other items installed inside.
